Beautiful Bump and Baby Portraits for Baby Ellis

It is with great pleasure that I am sharing some of my favourite portraits to date.  And I am so proud that I have been able to provide portraits equally as artistic for both the bump and baby session.  Many people may see me as a photographer, someone who takes pictures for a living.  In fact, I probably saw it that way too when I first started out.  But I don't see it that way anymore.  The creation of my portraits is a lengthy process that begins from the moment I take the booking and discuss with my client their needs and preferences of style.  It is from that moment that I begin to plan the session, first in my head, and then on paper.  Once the plan is in place I work out the lighting set up required to achieve my vision.  I choose the appropriate backdrop and any necessary props.  And before a single shot is even taken, I know what software editing will be required for the final piece.  I even know what frame moulding will best suit the image.  This is not me

Runner Up in the Societies Artistic Nude Competition

I found out this week that one of my images took second place in the Societies recent artistic nude competition.  Very pleased to see that of the 136 images mine was chosen as second.  As this blog is reserved for more family friendly images I've chosen to cover up the more intimate aspect of this image.  If you wish to see the full, unmarked image please click here to be taken to the Esteem Blog which is dedicated to this type of work.  If you wish to see the winning image click here . If you wish to see all the entries click here .  I as very impressed with the quality of so many of the images which makes being runner up that much more rewarding.

My Work Experience by Tamsin Ashmore

Hiya, my name is Tamsin. I am from Rugby which is a few miles away from Hinckley. I am a student at Harris School and for my Work Experience I decided to do Photography with Christina. I have been interested in Photography for a few years now, it is my dream job and I wanted to know more about it from a professional Photographer. I am quite creative and colourful when it comes to Art and Photography. And I would love to become a Photographer one day! The last two weeks with Christina have been very interesting, fun and inspirational. I have experienced lots of new things like going to a Trade show and seeing all of the equipment you use for Photo Shoots. I never knew much about the equipment and how much it costs! The show had lots of intersting products too which I found quite interesting. Christina also let me use her studio and equipment for doing my own Photo Shoot with my younger cousin. (Who is the girl in my photos). Plus she taught me how to Photo Shop the phot

Christina Lauder Portraits Offers One to One Training

This week I had a day of training at the studio with a lovely photographer from down Essex way.  Her name is Amanda Collins who already does some amazing work of her own.  In fact, at one point I wasn't quite sure why she even bothered booking a day with me as she knows so much already.  But I loved the session.  It was a bit like the entire day was a coffee morning.  We spent much of it chatting away about the way we each worked.  In the end I probably gained as much from the session as Amanda did.  As part of the training I brought in a previous client to see if we could get the portrait she has been after for a while.  Unfortunately that was not to be though.  You can't always convince a 2 year old that he needs to lie patiently next to his baby sister.  So for now at least that arrangement will have to wait.  But we still managed to get several images I am over the moon with and Amanda was able to gain confidence from watching another photographer work.  I sha
